Provenance- located in an historic 1856 bank, Provenance is highly awarded restaurant that produces creative contemporary food with a wine list to match.

 

The Press Room- a cosy restaurant specializing in tapas.

 

The Ox and Hound- an intimate bistro focusing on classic Italian and French dishes.

 

Tanwell’s Pub- one of the oldest pubs in Beechworth serving pub classic and some more contemporary dishes.

 

Peddlar-a great spot for breakfast and lunch. Also open Tuesday evening.

 

Project 49- a tratorria/wine bar/deli.

 

Cellar Door Wine Store- a wine store and café with a great selection of many local wineries.

 

Farm gates & farmers markets

The cool climate and fertile soils of nearby Stanley produce outstanding quality fruits, berries and nuts. "Pick-your-own" at selected farms, or meet the growers at local farmers markets. The Beechworth Farmer’s Market occurs on the first Saturday of every month.

 

Breweries & cellar doors

Try specialty beers brewed on-site at the much-awarded Bridge Road Brewery. Beechworth is a highly regarded wine region with many award wining wineries. A few have cellar doors, others are by appointment only. ( a phone call usually does the trick).

 

History & antiques

Preserved from the 1850's gold rush era, Beechworth has some 30 buildings classified by the National Trust. They tell stories of infamous bush rangers, Chinese miners & pioneers who all contributed to the rich character of the area.
